Chief Executive Officer
Prior to joining KnowVera, Harry spent more than a decade at Thomson Reuters in a variety of Executive Vice President positions. Among his primary responsibilities were development of the firm’s global sell-side equities strategy, design and marketing of next-generation premium trading desktops, and working with top buy-side accounts to build customized analytical solutions.
Harry also spent 10 years at Bridge Information Systems where, in his role as Executive Vice President, he was responsible for the design of Bridge’s core products and the integration of multiple workstation applications.
A Director of the Kansas-based BATS Stock Exchange, Harry is also Chairman of the exchange’s Regulatory Oversight Committee.
Harry graduated Cum Laude from Hobart College with a BA degree in Economics and Mathematics, and was elected to the Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society in Economics and Phi Beta Kappa.
Co-Founder and COO
Stephen is the author of KnowVera’s proprietary trading strategy and other analytical products. His involvement in the equities markets spans more than 22 years, first as an Amex specialist with Spear Leads & Kellogg, and later as a specialist with several NYSE firms. He subsequently worked as an institutional wire clerk and then as a NYSE floor broker for a global institutional brokerage firm.
Formed over many years of dynamic trading using multiple sources of real-time market and technical data, Stephen’s uncanny insight and understanding of the markets led to his writing the trading strategies that ultimately formed the basis of KnowVera’s technology.
Co-Founder and CFO
Overseeing all aspects of KnowVera’s finance and accounting functions, Joe’s primary responsibility includes planning, budgeting, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company.
Joe is an owner and Director of Liberty Systems Inc., the parent company of Liberty Lines Transit, Inc., a Yonkers, New York-based company that owns and operates 99% of Westchester County’s Bee Line Bus System. Joe is also a trustee for the TWU Westchester Private Bus Lines Pension Trust, as well as a Trustee of the TWU Westchester Private Bus Lines Health Trust.
Joe holds a BS degree in Accounting and Computer Science from Fairfield University and graduated as a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Chief Technology Officer
Prior to joining KnowVera, Matthew served as Director of Quantitative Trading Technology at TIAA-CREF, where he pioneered algorithmic trading strategies and crossing engines for the buy-side.
Matthew also spent seven years as Managing Director at Bear Stearns, where he developed the firm’s first order and execution management system, and served as Senior Vice President at Citigroup, where he developed similar technologies on an even larger scale, geared primarily towards proprietary trading and algorithmic trading.
A consistent visionary focused on developing roadmaps for future technology needs, Matthew holds BS degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics and Quantitative Economics from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
